Our mission at UHS is to improve the health of the people and communities we touch, serve and support. In keeping with that mission, we want to be sure you get the best and safest care possible and, that you to feel respected and treated well.
Each hospital in our system works to meet that goal through
PATIENT EXPERIENCE - Making sure you and your family are treated well.
QUALITY - Providing the very best care, best practices and appropriate technologies.
- SAFETY - Making sure that you are safe while you are in our hospital. Your safety and health are the foundation of all we do.
To continually improve our performance, we compare ourselves to other hospitals and health systems. We report our performance to national organizations such as
The Joint Commission and the
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for national and state-wide reporting.
These organizations receive similar information from hospitals all over the country. They are then able to report which ones are performing the best and identify areas for improvement.
Why do we publish this data?
Publishing patient outcomes helps us improve our performance. In addition, studies have shown that access to health care outcome information helps patients and families make good health care decisions and feel confident in their providers.
