department with a dedicated team of professionals ready to provide immediate
care. EastCare, our critical care air and ground transport service, provides services
throughout the region.
Our ED staffs are trained to provide immediate care and transfer
patients that require more advanced needs. We make transfers between facilities
seamless with our EastCare transport team and using HealthSpan, our electronic
medical record system.
MedDirect is a department of Pitt County Memorial
Hospital’s ED and treats illnesses and injuries that are not life-threatening.
