We offer a variety of programs for
patients and family members in cooperation with the American
Cancer Society and the North Carolina Leukemia &
Lymphoma Society. These support groups offer information,
education and companionship. Patients discuss problems and share
strategies for coping. For information about these

ENT Laryngectomee Association - a
support group for laryngectomy patients, families and friends. Meets
every third Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Eastern Carolina ENT Head and
Neck Surgery, Greenville. For more information, please call

Camp Dove - a three-day retreat that
provides adult cancer survivors the opportunity to enjoy fellowship,
relaxation and activities by the sea.
Camp Rainbow - a one-week camp for
pediatric cancer patients and their siblings.
Brain Trust - a support group for
patients living with a benign or malignant brain tumor; meets the
second Wednesday of the month at the Hope Lodge. For more

I Can Cope - a series of educational
programs for people with cancer and their families and friends.
Programs are held throughout the region. To register, please

Leukemia Family Support Group -
educational sessions for people with leukemia, Hodgkins disease,
non-Hodgkins lymphoma and multiple myeloma and their families and
friends. The group meets quarterly.
Living On After Loss - a support group
for adults dealing with the loss of a family member or loved one. The
eight-week series is offered quarterly and includes two educational
sessions and six support sessions. Registration is required.
Look Good...Feel Better - a support
group that helps patients confront and deal with changes in physical
appearance resulting from cancer treatment. To register, call
the American Cancer Society at 1-888-227-6333. We offer this group on 3 West Oncology on the 4th Monday of the month
from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. To register, contact Paula Bowen,

Making It - a support group for
patients with breast cancer; meets at 5:30 p.m. on the third Monday
of every month in the Hope Lodge Conference Room.
Man-to-Man - classes that provide
education and support for men with prostate cancer. Meets the
second Tuesday of each month in the Hope Lodge Conference Room.
New Colors - support group for children
dealing with the loss of a family member or loved one. Registration

Pathways to Hope - a monthly
bereavement support group for persons that have experienced the loss
of a loved one. The loss does not have to be related to cancer
and can include the death of a friend, sibling, parent, spouse or
child. Meets the third Thursday of each month at 5:30
p.m. in the American Cancer Society McConnell-Raab Hope Lodge
Conference Room at 930 Wellness Drive (near the ViQuest Center off
Stantonsburg Rd). Free parking available.
Positive Image - support group for
cancer patients focusing on mutual support and stress
management. Meets 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. on the first and third
Mondays of each month. Meetings are held at Jarvis Memorial
United Methodist Church in Greenville.
Gold F.I.S.H. - support group for
children whose parents have been diagnosed with cancer. For
ages 4-16; to help them understand what cancer is and help them
express their fears, hopes and dreams. This is a four-week
program meeting in the Gasklins Leslie Building at Pitt County
