Our Cancer Services include the most advanced treatments for the people of eastern North Carolina. We make the latest technologies available to our expert medical staff, nurses and therapists. Combining national treatment protocols and the highest standards of clinical quality, our team of specialists takes care of hundreds of patients each year. At PCMH, you can be assured that you or your loved one will receive state-of-the-art cancer care.

We have a 31-bed oncology unit with four intermediate beds. We have added a number of new programs that give our patients new options for treatment and new hope for recovery. Some of our most important initiatives involve programs that make diagnosis and treatment easier and more convenient for our patients.

One new program is our Patient Navigator Program, which connects patients who have breast or gynecological cancers to support and educational resources.

We also provide Gamma Knife Radiosurgery at the Gamma Knife Center.

PCMH Cancer Services supports basic science, clinical and epidemiological research into the causes and treatment of cancer and sponsors educational programs about cancer for health professionals, patients and the general public. We also offer support groups and other events every month.
